Help CVAS Find a Home for Lena!

Lena is a white and chocolate Chihuahua at CVAS. She is approximately 4 years old. She is a very quiet, gentle little girl who can be slightly timid in new situations. Lena would do better in a quiet home. If children are going to be around the home, she would do better if they were 14 years old or older.

Report Animal Cruelty to CVAS!

The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has a cruelty officer on staff who investigates reports of animal cruelty and neglect.

Please understand that their cruelty officer and the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter are bound by the laws of the state of Pennsylvania. Animal cruelty laws differ from state to state. What you see on Animal Planet may not apply to Pennsylvania. Indeed, if you’ve moved here from another state, what may have been illegal in your state may NOT be in Pennsylvania.

In Pa., animals are considered personal property — like a car or a television. Their officers can no more simply take a dog from a home than they could take a car or a television.
