Become a Foster Parent for CVAS Today!!

Become a Foster Parent for CVAS today!!

The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter is always in need of reliable foster parents to take animals into their homes until they can be spayed or neutered and placed in their adoption kennels. CVAS primarily needs foster families for litters of kittens, with or without a mama. They rarely have puppies or dogs go out on foster care. If you’re interested in becoming a foster parent, take a minute to read these questions and answers: https://www.cvas-pets.org/foster.html

Looking for ways you help CVAS at their new shelter?

Looking for ways you help CVAS at their new shelter? They have hundreds of engraved bricks to place outside the new building as a memorial walk and park for the burial of pet cremains. If you have any skills in landscaping, etc., this would be a wonderful way to help the shelter with the donation of your time. Please contact Nancy Gardner at ngardner@pa.net or call (717) 261-1434 and they’ll get you started.

Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter Volunteers Needed!

Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter

The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has a staff of a little more than 15 full and part time employees. The vast majority of those folks work daily in the kennels to directly care for the homeless pets. Without the help of volunteers, they wouldn’t have as many successful events outside the shelter, which bring much needed revenue to continue to save and adopt homeless animals each year. Because of this, They rely heavily on our volunteers.
